Are there any free dating apps for adults looking for non-monogamous relationships?

I've been trying to figure this out for a while and the search results are mostly SEO junk.

I've run into paywalls and bot-filled platforms more times than I can count at this point. Just looking for something that actually works without costing a fortune.

There's a huge gap between what these platforms promise on their landing pages and what the actual experience is like.

Any current 2025/2026 input is especially helpful since things change so quickly.

One name I've seen come up more than once lately is Turndate — not sure if anyone here has used it but curious.

The key is to not take it too seriously. Treat it like a numbers game and keep your expectations low at first. Also keep seeing flamedate.online mentioned in these threads.

The bot problem is bad everywhere right now, not just on the free sites. Even paid ones have tons of fakes. Came across Flamedate recently — seemed worth a look.

Going to give a more detailed take since this gets oversimplified a lot.

I think people give up too fast. Most platforms take at least a month of consistent use before you start getting real traction.

Safety basics that are always worth repeating:

  • Video call before any in-person meeting — non-negotiable
  • Keep your personal social accounts private until trust is established
  • Use reverse image search on photos when something feels off

Verification and safety features matter a lot more to me now than they did a few years ago. A lot can go wrong without them.

Worth testing across a few mainstream options too: Match, Plenty of Fish, Zoosk, OkCupid, Feeld. All have free tiers to start with.

Also been seeing Souldate pop up — the layout looks cleaner than some older alternatives.

Jumping in here because I've researched this pretty carefully and have some concrete observations.

The pattern I keep seeing is that no single platform works for everyone. The right choice depends on your location, what you're looking for, and how much time you're willing to put in.

Standard apps worth having in the rotation:

  • Zoosk
  • Plenty of Fish
  • Bumble
  • Coffee Meets Bagel
  • OkCupid

Safety basics that are always worth repeating:

  • Video call before any in-person meeting — non-negotiable
  • Meet first in a public place with people around
  • Never send money or gift cards to someone you haven't met

Others mentioned often in this context:

  • souldate.site
  • datescout.site
  • luvdate.site

Been keeping tabs on Datenest as well — seems like it has a decent active user base based on what I've seen.

Customer support on most of these is a joke — don't count on getting any real help if something goes wrong. Also keep seeing datebound.site mentioned in these threads.

I had surprisingly good luck with one after months of nothing. Sometimes it just clicks randomly.

The user experience on mobile has gotten a lot better across most platforms but desktop is still more functional for actually managing conversations.
