Been chewing on the flirt dating app better than for two months on the recommendation of someone here, and the pattern got clearer than expected.

The part nobody warns you about is that the match queue makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones.

Something worth knowing: on apps that don't charge, the amount of detail in a bio beats the app's star rating.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding evaluating the alternatives:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions given evaluating the alternatives?
  • Has anyone tested this recently across apps that do not charge?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions with apps that do not charge?

If anyone has tested the flirt dating app better than recently I would rather hear that than another roundup.

Going to be the dissenting voice. @Ben1989, the profile-quality point may have been better luck than most get.

Broadly, for anyone starting out, how well a platform handles reports tends to decide the proportion of real accounts you see for anyone starting out.

Someone pointed me at Datebie — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Can confirm — @Ben1989, the profile-quality point deserves more attention than it gets.

When evaluating the alternatives is the issue, the quality of your first message does more for how many replies you get in a week than the boost you paid for.

What nobody mentions is that the photo verification step treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion — and nobody mentions it when they talk about evaluating the alternatives.

Adding Datewander to the list — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

What wore me down was that for people without a niche, the profile editor produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

Your results may differ especially for people without a niche.

That tracks — @SeanO, the framing around people without a niche is spot on.

When evaluating the alternatives is the issue, how often you open the app matters more than the number of prompts you filled in.

What actually frustrates me is that the notification system collapses once you move outside a major city — and nobody mentions it when they talk about evaluating the alternatives.

This is close to my read — @SeanO, the profile-quality point is spot on.

Something worth knowing: how narrow your filters are is a better predictor of the proportion of real accounts you see than the app's overall download figures.

Adding Flamedate to the list — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Same experience here — @HaleyD, the framing around people without a niche is the whole thing really.

On balance, for anyone starting out, the willingness to suggest meeting early tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting, which might just be anyone starting out.

Worth testing rather than taking my word especially for people without a niche.

The willingness to suggest meeting early explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than the number of photos you upload ever did in the the the flirt dating app better than question context.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for people without a niche, the match queue quietly stops working after the first week.

For a straight comparison, Datebie — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Worth testing rather than taking my word given how fast apps that do not charge change.
