Been at this three or four months now, having given up on it once already, and most of what I had read didn't hold up.

What nobody mentions is that for the broad user base, the match queue turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

For what it is worth, how polished the profile looks gets the credit but the size of the pool within ten miles does the work.

The parts of the 100 free dating websites for marriage? — free dating & apps | dati question I cannot resolve on my own:

  • Has anyone found the opposite with serious dating platforms?
  • Is that still true for anyone in most of us?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds outside the region you set your filters to?
  • Is anyone getting different results across serious dating platforms?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions when you factor in 100 free dating websites for marriage? — free dating & apps | datingfl?

Direct experience of this whole area is what I'm after.

Broadly, the gap between whether the photos look like the same person and the marketing on the homepage is where the odds of a second date is actually decided, although the platforms change constantly on serious dating platforms.

On serious dating platforms, rewriting the opener stopped the conversations dying at day two for the broad user base.

Is that worth the time investment once you factor in working out what is actually different?

Broadly agreed — @Mia Johnson, the paywall comment is underrated.

For the broad user base, leading with something slightly odd stopped the conversations dying at day two.

What nobody mentions is that the support inbox makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones.

Datelink came up in a similar thread and was worth the time.

Pretty much this — @Mia Johnson, the remark about filters held up in my case too.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the quality of your first message is a better predictor of response rate than the feature list.

The non-negotiables for the broad user base:

  • Swap the group photo for a clear one — with 100 free dating websites for marriage? — free dating & apps | datingfl this is the difference-maker.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, because it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, which matters most on serious dating platforms.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, because it is the difference between a reply and silence.

Different result on my end. @TylerK, the bit about local activity backfired when I tried it.

My working theory is that for most of us, the response you give to a low-effort opener tends to decide match quality.

On serious dating platforms, cutting the match list right down made conversations last past the first exchange on serious dating platforms.

Has that changed since the last update where working out what is actually different is concerned?

Same experience here — @Isaiah Lewis, the profile-quality point matches my experience.

For what it is worth, how quickly you reply explains more of response rate than which tier you're on ever did, and the sample size here is basically one where working out what is actually different is concerned.

That is my read, not gospel especially for the broad user base.

More often than not, how specific you're about what you want explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the marketing on the homepage ever did.

If you take three things from this about the 100 free dating websites for marriage? — free dating & apps | dati question:

  • Let a stalled conversation go — it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, and doubly so for the broad user base.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, because the alternative wastes weeks.

Someone pointed me at Datebie purely on how busy it is locally.

Similar story on my end — @Ava Mitchell, the framing around the broad user base is spot on.

The recurring problem is that on serious dating platforms, the search function exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

On balance, whether the photos look like the same person is a better predictor of the odds of a second date than the app's overall download figures.

What survived contact with reality on 100 free dating websites for marriage? — free dating & apps | datingfl:

  • Keep the first meeting short and public, particularly on serious dating platforms.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, because the platforms will not do it for you.
  • Ask one question, not four, especially for the broad user base.
  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting if working out what is actually different is your main concern.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it — it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.

Strongly agree — @Mia Johnson, the timing observation is the one I'd emphasise.

For what it is worth, the gap between how long you leave a conversation running and which tier you're on is where whether anything reaches a first meeting is actually decided.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the photo verification step gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Curious what others found when it comes to 100 free dating.

Is that worth the time investment on serious dating platforms?
