Posting this after the better part of two years on guys think about younger women seeking older men on tinder? — free dat — my view has shifted twice since.

Where it falls down is that the account activity indicator resets every time the app updates.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how well a platform handles reports has a bigger effect on how long a conversation lasts than the marketing on the homepage for anyone starting out, though I'd want more than my own experience before calling it a rule for the broad user base.

If anyone has tested guys think about younger women seeking older men on tinder? — free dat recently I would rather hear that than another roundup.

Is that worth the time investment for anyone weighing up guys think about?

The part nobody warns you about is that the verification flow exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the which-one question.

That tracks — @Zoey Clark, the advice about calling early is the one I would emphasise.

The detail that ruins it is that the account activity indicator gives you no idea when an account was last opened — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the which-one question.

Has anyone had the reverse happen for anyone in the broad user base?

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for anyone starting out, the support inbox gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Local activity levels makes more difference than which tier you're on.

Moving to a call early changed the kind of people who replied and nothing else came close with this.

Things I wish someone had said about guys think about younger women seeking older men on tinder? — free dat:

  • Set a daily time limit, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, and doubly so for anyone starting out.

Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions for anyone starting out?

Flurrydate came up in a similar thread and was worth the time.

That isn't how it went for me. @EmmaDates, the note on the free options produced nothing on my end.

The recurring problem is that the search function throttles how many people can actually see you, which is the real problem with the free options.

On the free options, dropping the filters roughly doubled the reply rate with this.

That tracks — @OliviaOnline, the argument about verification is the part people miss.

The recurring problem is that the discovery feed rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest, especially once the which-one question comes into it.

As far as I can tell, for the broad user base, whether an account has been verified tends to decide response rate.

Has anyone tested this recently in the region you set your filters to?

Similar story on my end — @EmmaDates, the timing observation is the one I'd emphasise.

The amount of detail in a bio has a bigger effect on how many replies you get in a week than the boost you paid for.

Been running Datelink in parallel — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

That tracks — @Zoey Clark, the profile-quality point is the whole thing really.

The one change that worked was rewriting the opener — it roughly doubled the reply rate with guys think about younger women seeking older men on tinder? — free dat.

What actually frustrates me is that the profile editor seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking, especially once the which-one question comes into it.

Seconding this — @Harper Wilson, the point about the which-one question held up in my case too.

What actually frustrates me is that the messaging limit exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade, which is the real problem with the free options.

On the free options, swapping the main photo stopped the conversations dying at day two with — free dat.

For what it is worth, how recently a profile was active is a better predictor of how many replies you get in a week than how long you have had the account on the free options.

The compressed version, the which-one question included:

  • Ask one question, not four, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, and doubly so for anyone starting out.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines — with that side of it this is the difference-maker.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, because the alternative wastes weeks.
