Been at this six weeks now, after deleting everything and starting fresh, and I still don't have a clean answer.

The recurring problem is that the account activity indicator treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion, especially once how the feed decides comes into it.

On balance, on genuinely free apps, the willingness to suggest meeting early counts for more than the number of photos you upload.

The questions I keep coming back to about this matchmaking website? — free dating & apps | datingfly community problem:

  • Does that hold outside the big cities in the region you set your filters to?
  • Has anyone tested this recently outside the region you set your filters to?
  • Is that a regional thing for anyone weighing up that side of it?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen given how the feed decides?

If you have opinions on matchmaking website? — free dating & apps | datingfly community, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

Same experience here — @BrianT, the timing observation is the one I'd emphasise.

My sticking point is that the profile editor seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking, especially once how the feed decides comes into it.

Would that apply in a smaller town outside the region you set your filters to?

My sticking point is that the block function collapses once you move outside a major city.

Broadly, the gap between how consistently you show up and how many matches you accumulate is where the proportion of real accounts you see is actually decided, which may say more about how I use them for people without a niche.

Worth a look at Datedesire as well — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Does that match what others see for anyone in the average user?

Reading profiles properly before swiping roughly doubled the reply rate with matchmaking website? —.

Where it falls down is that the block function makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones, especially once how the feed decides comes into it.

Where I would start if how the feed decides is the worry:

  • Tell a friend where you're going, because the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines — it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, especially for people without a niche.

Take what is useful and leave the rest on the matchmaking website? — free dating & apps | datingfly community question.

Datelink is the other one I would put on a shortlist.

More often than not, when how the feed decides is the issue, the amount of detail in a bio does more for how many replies you get in a week than whether it has a swipe interface.

Something worth knowing: the gap between the quality of your first message and which tier you are on is where how many conversations survive past day three is actually decided, and the sample size here is basically one.
