Posting this after the last couple of months on dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | datingfl — I still do not have a clean answer.

The part nobody warns you about is that for the average user, the block function buries you the moment you stop checking daily.

For what it is worth, when working out which is worth the time is the issue, how often you open the app has a bigger effect on the proportion of real accounts you see than how long you have had the account when it comes to dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | datingfl.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with this dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | dati problem:

  • Does that change much where working out which is worth the time is concerned?
  • Has anyone found the opposite with genuinely free apps?
  • Is that worth the time investment outside your own area?

If you have opinions on dating site everyone, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

Seconding this — @Ethan Parker, the point about working out which is worth the time is the whole thing really.

What nobody mentions is that the discovery feed rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out which is worth the time.

More often than not, for anyone starting out, how consistently you show up tends to decide the proportion of real accounts you see, and the sample size here is basically one.

What I would tell someone starting on dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | datingfl:

  • Put something concrete in the opener — it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — with this whole area this is the difference-maker.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — with this this is the difference-maker.

That tracks — @NicoleR, the timing observation matches my experience.

Suggesting a meeting inside two weeks made a bigger difference than switching platforms with apps | datingfl.

On genuinely free apps, how narrow your filters are outweighs the number of photos you upload where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

What I would tell someone starting on this dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | dati problem:

  • Ask one question, not four — it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific — everything downstream depends on it.
  • Put something concrete in the opener, because it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.

Worth a look at Luvdate as well — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

The one change that worked was setting fixed hours for it — it changed the kind of people who replied with dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | datingfl.

What actually frustrates me is that the free tier surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months.

Is there a way to check before signing up when working out which is worth the time is the main worry?

This is close to my read — @TrentH, the paywall comment is spot on.

For what it is worth, the gap between how consistently you show up and which tier you are on is where how long a conversation lasts is actually decided, which might just be anyone starting out.

The detail that ruins it is that the match queue quietly stops working after the first week — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out which is worth the time.

On that point, Datebound and the activity level was better than I expected.

Has anyone had the reverse happen with genuinely free apps?

Setting fixed hours for it changed the kind of people who replied.

As far as I can tell, on genuinely free apps, the effort in the opening line counts for more than the app's overall download figures on genuinely free apps.

I have had a decent run on Flurrydate if you are building a shortlist.

Is that worth the time investment for the average user?

Putting one specific interest in the bio roughly doubled the reply rate with this whole area.

As far as I can tell, the clarity of your main photo explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than which platform you picked ever did in the the dating site everyone is talking about? — free dating & apps | dati question context.

This is close to my read — @VeronicaT, the timing observation is underrated.

In practice, which platform you picked gets the credit but how often you open the app does the work.
