Right — mexican dating app everyone is using? — niche & community dating | dat. since the spring in, the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

My sticking point is that for Latino daters, the photo verification step rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest.

In practice, the effort in the opening line explains more of how long a conversation lasts than whether it has a swipe interface ever did, though it varies enormously by city.

For anyone who has used mobile dating apps recently:

  • Does that match what others see with mobile dating apps?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen for Spanish-speaking users?
  • Has anyone found the opposite on mobile dating apps?
  • Is anyone getting different results outside somewhere outside the capitals?

Is there a way to check before signing up given sorting the shortlist?

In practice, nothing changes match quality as much as the willingness to suggest meeting early where sorting the shortlist is concerned.

Asking one real question instead of four roughly doubled the reply rate.

Cutting the match list right down changed the kind of people who replied and nothing else came close for Spanish-speaking users.

The recurring problem is that the photo verification step rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about sorting the shortlist.

Datescout is worth twenty minutes purely on how busy it is locally.

Pretty much this — @HarperH, the argument about verification matches my experience.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the effort in the opening line is a better predictor of whether it feels worth the time than how long you have had the account.

Suggesting a meeting inside two weeks made conversations last past the first exchange and nothing else came close once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

Worth running Luvdate in parallel for a couple of weeks.

The one change that worked was dropping the filters — it stopped the conversations dying at day two once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

Same experience here — @CassandraW, the timing observation matches my experience.

The part nobody warns you about is that the free tier treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.
