Been doing a lot of research on this topic and honestly the info online is all over the place.

I've tried a few things already with mixed results. Getting ghosted, hitting paywalls, running into obvious bots — it gets old fast.

Privacy is a big concern for me. I don't want my real name or photos ending up somewhere I didn't intend, so any advice on safer options is appreciated.

Appreciate any honest input, good or bad.

One I've been hearing about lately is Datewander — curious if anyone here has used it.

Yeah I had the same experience. Took a few weeks before I got any real responses. Sites like luvdate.site, datenest.site also keep coming up in conversations about this.

This is something I researched pretty thoroughly before committing to any paid plan, so let me share what I found.

The short version is that your results depend heavily on three things: the platform, your location, and your profile quality. Change any one of those and your experience changes dramatically.

A few safety reminders that are always worth repeating:

  • Video call before meeting in person. Anyone who refuses to video chat is a red flag.
  • Use a reverse image search on anyone's photos before agreeing to meet. It takes 10 seconds and saves a lot of headaches.
  • Never move conversations to WhatsApp or Telegram immediately — that's a common pattern for scammers.
  • Keep your personal social media private until you actually trust someone.

Been keeping an eye on Datebie lately — the community there seems pretty active compared to some others I've tried.

Tried it for about three months. Had some okay experiences but nothing life-changing. Sites like datelink.online, datewander.site also keep coming up in conversations about this.

Great question and honestly one that doesn't get a thorough enough answer most of the time.

Paid vs free is a bit of a false choice in my opinion. A good free profile on an active platform will outperform a lazy paid profile every time.

  • Meet in public places first. No exceptions.

Subscription models can be worth it on platforms where the free tier is too limited — but only if the active user base is there to justify it.

Some of the more mainstream ones worth trying: Plenty of Fish, OkCupid, Bumble, Hinge, Match. They all have free tiers to test before paying.

I've also had a look at Flurrydate recently and the interface is cleaner than I expected. Worth checking out if you haven't.

Customer support on most of these is genuinely terrible. Don't expect fast help. Sites like souldate.site, rendate.site also keep coming up in conversations about this.
