Posting this after a few weeks on most good dating apps for introverts? — niche & community dating | dat — the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

The part nobody warns you about is that for introverts and anxious daters, the support inbox gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Something worth knowing: which platform you picked gets the credit but whether you actually read the profile does the work when it comes to most good dating apps for introverts? — niche & community dating | specifically.

Happy to hear dissenting views on this — that is partly why I'm asking.

Has anyone found the opposite once you factor in working out what is actually different?

The pattern I keep seeing is that the size of the pool within ten miles explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than the marketing on the homepage ever did.

What actually frustrates me is that the profile editor treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion, especially once working out what is actually different comes into it.

Saying plainly what I was not after changed the kind of people who replied, which surprised me.

Turndate is worth twenty minutes if you're testing a few at once.

Has anyone had the reverse happen if you are dealing with working out what is actually different?

My sticking point is that the onboarding boost collapses once you move outside a major city — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

As far as I can tell, for quieter users, local activity levels tends to decide the odds of a second date.

I have had a decent run on Luvdate if you are building a shortlist.

As far as I can tell, how long you have had the account gets the credit but how narrow your filters are does the work for introverts and anxious daters.

Datelink came up in a similar thread — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

That tracks — @James Anderson, the point about working out what is actually different matches my experience.

What wore me down was that the recommendation engine surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months, especially once working out what is actually different comes into it.

More often than not, on swipe apps, the effort in the opening line counts for more than the total registered user count where working out what is actually different is concerned.

Has anyone tested this recently once you factor in working out what is actually different?

As far as I can tell, for quieter users, the quality of your first message tends to decide whether it feels worth the time.

The part nobody warns you about is that on swipe apps, the support inbox ignores about half of what you set.

Has anyone found the opposite for anyone weighing up this?

My working theory is that when working out what is actually different is the issue, the willingness to suggest meeting early outweighs the boost you paid for.

Practical notes on working out what is actually different:

  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for introverts and anxious daters.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, because it is the one thing that transfers across every app.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, which matters most on swipe apps.

For a straight comparison, Datedesire if you want something to compare against.

Opposite for me, oddly. @SterlingN, the point about working out what is actually different held for a fortnight then stopped.

My working theory is that when working out what is actually different is the issue, the effort in the opening line makes more difference than how polished the profile looks where working out what is actually different is concerned.

If you take three things from this about most good dating apps for introverts? — niche & community dating | dat:

  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — with most good dating apps for introverts? — niche & community dating | dat this is the difference-maker.
  • Put something concrete in the opener, which matters most on swipe apps.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, especially for introverts and anxious daters.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, especially for introverts and anxious daters.

Rendate is worth twenty minutes and there is no paywall on the basics.

On swipe apps, dropping the filters turned it from a chore into something workable for introverts and anxious daters.

What nobody mentions is that the reporting tool collapses once you move outside a major city, which is the real problem with swipe apps.

Broadly, how often you open the app matters more than the number of prompts you filled in for introverts and anxious daters.
