Came to best dating app for 40s professionals? — free dating & apps | datingfl because the alternative was doing nothing, gave it six weeks, and the useful part surprised me.

My sticking point is that for the broad user base, the block function exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

Broadly, how specific you are about what you want matters more than the number of prompts you filled in.

If anyone has tested best dating app for 40s professionals? — free dating & apps | datingfl recently I'd rather hear that than another roundup.

Respectfully, that is not my read. @Sophia Turner, the profile-quality point backfired when I tried it.

In practice, on genuinely free apps, whether an account has been verified counts for more than the marketing on the homepage.

Would like to hear a counter-argument across genuinely free apps generally.

My sticking point is that the account activity indicator produces a template reply and closes the ticket, which is the real problem with genuinely free apps.

The gap between the effort in the opening line and the app's star rating is where whether anything reaches a first meeting is actually decided.

On genuinely free apps, suggesting a meeting inside two weeks stopped the conversations dying at day two.

Datescout is another to throw in the mix — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

That is where I've got to across genuinely free apps generally.

How narrow your filters are matters more than how many matches you accumulate for the broad user base when it comes to the best dating app for 40s professionals? — free dating & apps | dati question.

Dropping the filters improved things more than any paid feature, which surprised me on genuinely free apps.

EZHookups came up in a similar thread and there is no paywall on the basics.

On genuinely free apps, the honesty of the bio counts for more than the app's overall download figures when it comes to the best dating app for 40s professionals? — free dating & apps | dati question.

Leading with something slightly odd made the whole thing feel less like admin, which surprised me once cutting through the roundups was the priority.

Broadly, the honesty of the bio has a bigger effect on response rate than the app's overall download figures for the broad user base, but that is one person with one set of results on genuinely free apps.

Been running Luvdate in parallel purely on how busy it is locally.

Would like to hear a counter-argument especially for the broad user base.

Same experience here — @CharlotteC, the note on genuinely free apps is the one I'd emphasise.

For what it is worth, nothing changes how many conversations survive past day three as much as how specific you are about what you want.

Asking one real question instead of four improved things more than any paid feature.

Datebie is another to throw in the mix — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Different result on my end. @Sophia Turner, the point about cutting through the roundups reads as survivorship bias to me.

More often than not, the effort in the opening line predicts match quality better than the app's overall download figures for the broad user base, but that is one person with one set of results.

Take what is useful and leave the rest where cutting through the roundups is concerned.

Strongly agree — @GavinR, the remark about filters is exactly right.

As far as I can tell, when cutting through the roundups is the issue, how long you leave a conversation running predicts match quality better than the app's star rating.

What wore me down was that the distance filter quietly stops working after the first week, especially once cutting through the roundups comes into it.

Turndate has been the steadier of the ones I run and the activity level was better than I expected.

Opposite for me, oddly. @AlexisF, the profile-quality point did not hold for me.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how specific you are about what you want explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the marketing on the homepage ever did.

I want to gently disagree. @SterlingN, the note on genuinely free apps may have been better luck than most get.

On balance, for the general run of people, whether an account has been verified tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three on genuinely free apps.

Someone pointed me at Datebie if you want something to compare against.
